If you’ve been around the off road community for any length of time, you’ve heard about the front Dana 30 & the front Dana 44 axles not being strong enough for larger, oversized tires and occasionally you will hear about the axle housings cracking or bending due to the abuses from off roading. 

While the crew at Summit 4X4 Company agrees with this, the average daily driver and weekend worrier that likes to hit easy to moderate trails and has a rig with 35 inch or smaller tires, the stock D30/D44 axles are still pretty strong with a few minor upgrades.

But, If your the type of off roader that likes to challenge your self and your rig with more aggressive and extreme off roading, there is still something you can do to strengthen your front axle with out having to upgrade the entire housing. 

The Axle Assurance Kit from Synergy is designed to strengthen the D30/D44 front axle found in the front of the Jeep JK, TJ, LJ, XJ, and ZJ before it is bent/broken from the abuses of large tires and off road use. The Inner Axle Sleeves provide a 59% increase in strength over the stock axle tubes by being machined to fit snugly inside, increasing the overall tube thickness. The Inner C Gussets are laser cut and CNC bent in a heavy duty 3-sided construction to reinforce the Inner C's in the two planes prone to bending. The Lower Control Arm Skids are also laser cut and CNC bent to provide a very rigid bracket protecting the lower control arms and axle mounts and the installation of Synergy’s HD Ball Joints further extend the life of the axle. The Inner Axle Seals are the finishing touch to assist in putting everything back together.
