4X4 Parts Specialist

At Summit 4X4, we believe great work starts with great people. People who live the off-road lifestyle care about quality and take pride in doing things the right way. We are built by enthusiasts, explorers, and professionals who respect the rigs we work on and the people who trust us with them.

The Role

The Parts Department plays a critical role in every build we do. This is where parts are verified, compatibility issues are caught, and mistakes are prevented before they ever reach the shop floor. When the parts department does its job right, builds stay on track, technicians stay productive, and customers get the results they expect.

This is not a sales role, and it is not customer-facing. Service Advisors sell and guide the build. The Parts Specialist ensures that what was sold is correct, complete, compatible, and ordered accurately.

If you know off-road parts, understand how systems work together, and take pride in precision and accountability, this role matters here.

We are not hiring to fill a seat. We are looking for an A player. Someone who wants to contribute, grow, and be part of a team that holds a high standard for quality, communication, and ownership.

What You Will Do

  • Verify parts sold by Service Advisors for accuracy, fitment, and compatibility.
  • Catch issues before parts are ordered or vehicles hit the shop floor.
  • Research part numbers, applications, and upgrade paths accurately and efficiently.
  • Order, receive, and track parts while managing lead times and availability.
  • Communicate clearly with Service Advisors, Technicians, Vendors, and Management.
  • Maintain organization and follow-through so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Take ownership of details that directly impact shop efficiency and build quality.

What We’re Looking For

You should bring:

  • Experience in the automotive, parts, and off-road industry.
  • Strong understanding of 4X4 systems and vehicle fundamentals.
  • High attention to detail, especially with fitment and ordering accuracy.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Clear communication and a professional, team-first mindset.
  • Commitment to honesty, clarity, and doing things the right way.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Bonus Points

You will stand out if you:

  • Own a 4X4 or have real off-road experience.
  • Have worked in a specialty, performance, or off-road shop.
  • Understand common upgrade paths, including suspension, steering, gearing, armor, lighting, recovery, and overland setups.
  • Have vendor knowledge and experience working with supplier reps.
  • Can spot problems early and prevent delays, wrong parts, and repeat orders.

What You Can Expect at Summit:

  • A shop that prioritizes quality workmanship and long-term trust.
  • Clear expectations and high standards across the team.
  • Strong collaboration between Parts, Service Advisors, and Technicians.
  • Opportunities to learn and become a key contributor.
  • A culture rooted in off-road exploration, lifestyle, and community.

Why Summit

Because we are more than a shop. We are a team that takes pride in the work, the people, and the lifestyle that brings it all together. We build rigs that create memories, and we work hard to be a place where customers feel taken care of and the team feels proud of what they do.

If you are detail-driven, parts-smart, and want to be part of a team that values doing it right the first time, this may be your spot.
