Dirt & Drafts Recap: Good Times, Great People, and a Whole Lot of Rigs
Last month, we packed up and headed over to Founding Fathers for their first-ever Dirt & Drafts event. And let’s just say Prescott showed up in all the right ways.
A bunch of our crew came out to help, and we rolled in heavy with eight rigs from the shop (plus our “Tank” – okay, more like an armored military vehicle, but it still stole the show). Inside the booth, we had all kinds of products and the Summit 4X4 Club set up with a Trails 4 Tatas table, which sparked a lot of great conversations about what that run means to us and the community.
It was one of those days when you couldn’t turn around without seeing a familiar face. We caught up with Brian from Overland Journal and Expedition Portal, Dan and Danielle from Hickey Marketing Group, Mario with AT Overland, Ryan with Auto Trimm Plus, Blair with Centerforce and Christina from KC Hilites just to name a few. Even Jim Beaver had his Misadventure Life trailer there, packed full of cool swag and apparel. Other vendors like Snakebit Knives and Rigid Industries rounded out the lineup and made for an awesome mix of people and brands.
Families, friends, and four-wheelers all mingled throughout the day, checking out rigs, sharing stories, and talking shop. When the sun went down, we fired up the firepits, busted out the s’mores, and let the good music roll thanks to Turtlebox. It was one of those nights when you didn’t want it to end.
For the first time doing this event, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Big thanks to Grant and the whole crew at Founding Fathers for putting it all together and letting us be a part of it. We’re already talking about next year because this is just the beginning.
