Some days you just have to put the tools down, load up the rig, and get out with good people. Our last trip to Turkey Creek was exactly that. A mix of crew, friends, and family all pointed their rigs toward the trail for a Saturday of off-roading, good food, and plenty of laughs.

Even with the heat hanging over us, spirits were high. Jesse took the lead through most of the obstacles, and the group made easy work of the terrain. Most rigs just walked right through, but of course, a few of the guys could not resist the optional lines. The kind of “let’s see what happens” challenges that get the cameras out and everyone crowding around for the show.

We knocked out a couple of quick trail repairs along the way, the kind of thing that just adds to the day’s story. Lunch was a casual break in the shade with plenty of trail dust still in the air. It is always better when you are surrounded by people who get it, the shared love for being out there, and making the most of the day.

On the way back, we could not pass up a stop at the Cleator Yacht Club. If you have been, you know. If you have not, put it on your list. It is a one-of-a-kind spot where locals and weekend visitors mix over cold drinks, tall tales, and some truly interesting conversation. After cooling off and swapping a few stories, it was back to town to unwind from a day packed with trail time, sun, and plenty of good memories.

We say it all the time, but it is worth repeating: days like this are why we do what we do. Turkey Creek gave us exactly what we needed.
