Summit 4×4 Honored by the Arizona Community Foundation.
We are excited to share some amazing news with our community. Summit 4×4 Company was recently recognized by the Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County, an organization that celebrates and promotes philanthropy across the state. This was no small ceremony. It was one of those events where the room was filled with the movers and shakers of our town, and being part of it was an honor all on its own.
Our team was one of only two recipients to be recognized that day. When our name was called, Jesse, Kelly, Laurie, and Victor walked up on stage to accept the award, and it was one of those moments that makes you proud to be part of something bigger than yourself. The award wasn't for the work we do in the shop; it was a reflection of the heart and dedication our team puts into the community year after year.
Why This Award Matters
We have always believed that a strong community is built by people who are willing to show up, lend a hand, and make a difference. Over the years, we have been part of many events and initiatives, but one fundraiser in particular has become a true centerpiece of our community efforts: Trails 4 Tatas.
This annual event, led by Laurie and Victor, is not just a fundraiser. It is a movement. Trails 4 Tatas brings people together from all over to raise Breast Cancer awareness and funds for a cause that touches countless lives. Off-roaders, families, businesses, and community members rally around it, and every year it seems to grow bigger and stronger.
When Jesse took the microphone at the ceremony, he made sure to highlight the incredible effort the whole team has put into making events like Trails 4 Tatas such a success. He gave special recognition to Laurie and Victor for their leadership and passion in making it happen year after year.
This annual event is more than just a fundraiser. It brings together off-roaders, families, businesses, and friends from all over to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer support and research. Every year, the turnout grows, the energy is bigger, and the impact is deeper. We have seen firsthand how these efforts help local individuals and families going through one of the toughest battles of their lives. All proceeds get donated to the YRMC Baskin Breast Care Center and stay here in our local community.
Along with Trails 4 Tatas, our team has backed and participated in other causes like local trail cleanups, Toys for Tots, Yavapai County Search and Rescue, Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, and various veterans' organizations. Whether we are raising funds, donating gear, or just showing up to lend a hand, it all comes from the same place — a shared belief that this community deserves our time and effort.
A Shared Achievement
While it was Jesse, Kelly, Laurie, and Victor up on stage, this award belongs to every single person who has pitched in to help along the way. Whether you volunteered your time, donated to a cause, joined us for a fundraiser, or simply showed up to support, you have been part of what makes our community so strong.
This award is more than a plaque or a title. It is a reminder of what can happen when a group of people shares the same passion for giving back. It is proof that the work we do together matters.
Looking Ahead
We are grateful to the Arizona Community Foundation for this recognition, but more than anything, we are motivated to keep going. There are always more trails to run, more people to help, and more ways to bring this community together.
To everyone who has been part of our journey so far, thank you. You are the reason we do what we do. And to anyone who is just finding out about Summit 4×4 and our community work, we invite you to join us. Whether it is on the trail, at a fundraiser, or here in the shop, there is always room for more good people.
Here is to the next adventure, the next challenge, and the next reason to come together as a community.
