Trails 4 Tatas 2025: Off-Roading for a Cause

Every October, the off-road community in and around Prescott comes together for something bigger than the trails themselves. Trails 4 Tatas, created and hosted by Summit 4X4 Company and led by the Summit 4X4 Club leaders, Laurie Cwikla and Victor Torres, has become one of the area’s most anticipated community fundraisers. It is a celebration of adventure, strength, and compassion that brings off-roaders, families, and businesses together to raise money and awareness for those battling breast cancer. All proceeds from Trails 4 Tatas go directly to the YRMC Baskin Breast Care Center in Prescott Valley and serve patients all throughout Yavapai County. The funds help provide essential resources like medical expenses, wigs, child care, meals, and transportation to appointments. For many, that support makes all the difference.

The Heart Behind the Event

Trails 4 Tatas began with a simple idea: take the spirit of off-roading, the teamwork, the challenge, and the camaraderie, and use it to give back. What started as a small gathering of local off-roaders has grown into a massive annual event that now draws participants from across the state and beyond.

Behind it all are Summit 4X4 Company, the Summit 4X4 Clubs, and a team of passionate off-road enthusiasts who live and breathe community. Everyone at the shop plays a part in making Trails 4 Tatas a success. The entire event is powered by Club members, volunteers, sponsors, and friends who believe in what the cause stands for: helping local patients and their families when they need it most.

This year, that team spirit shined brighter than ever.

Kicking Off the 2025 Event

The 2025 Trails 4 Tatas event took place on October 4th, and from the moment the sun came up, the energy was contagious. The morning began at Summit 4X4 Headquarters, where participants gathered for registration, breakfast, and coffee before heading out for the day’s trail runs.

Before anyone hit the dirt, a driver’s meeting led by Victor and Laurie brought everyone together to go over routes, safety details, and most importantly, the reason behind the event: to raise funds for breast cancer patients and their families. It served as a reminder that every rig, every raffle ticket, and every mile driven makes a difference.

Then came the sound everyone was waiting for: engines firing up, tires crunching gravel, and convoys of 4x4s rolling out toward the trails.

Four Trails, One Purpose

This year’s event featured four trail runs, each offering a unique experience and level of challenge for participants.

  • Bannie Mine Trail: A classic local favorite with tight turns, rocky climbs, and plenty of history woven through the old mining terrain.
  • The V-Notch: A more technical route that tested drivers’ precision and control, perfect for those looking for a little extra adrenaline.
  • Skull Valley to Copper Basin: Known for its sweeping views and mix of terrain, this run offered a great balance of fun and exploration.
  • Skyline Drive: A scenic route perfect for families and newer off-roaders, filled with beautiful views of the Prescott area.

Each trail offered something special. No matter which route participants chose, the experience was the same: camaraderie, adventure, and purpose. Pink ribbons, flags, and shirts stood out against the red dirt and green pines, creating a visual reminder of why everyone was out there.

Lunch, Raffles, and Auctions

After a fun morning on the trails, participants returned to Summit 4X4 Headquarters for lunch, followed by raffles and auctions. As always, the tables were stacked high with prizes donated by generous sponsors and brands from across the off-road industry.

From high-end off-road products and recovery gear to apparel, off-road LED lighting, and local experiences, the raffle and auction lineup was nothing short of impressive. Each item represented another chance to make an impact, with every dollar raised going directly to the cause.

The lunch, donated by Jersey Mike’s, was a huge hit and a reminder of the support local businesses provide to this event every year. Volunteers served hundreds of meals while participants swapped trail stories and laughed about the morning’s adventures.

Breaking Records for a Greater Cause

While the fundraiser is still ongoing, this year’s event has already surpassed $100,000 raised, thanks to our title sponsor, Findlay Toyota of Prescott, and every single one of our generous donors, marking a new milestone for Trails 4 Tatas. We would also like to recognize Novus Glass of Northern Arizona and Culver’s of Prescott for joining us as top-level sponsors and for their continued support of this cause. That number is more than a figure. It represents countless acts of generosity, teamwork, and compassion from an entire community united by one mission: to help others.

For the entire team at Summit 4X4, seeing the event grow each year is both humbling and motivating. What started as a small local fundraiser has now become a movement that inspires others to get involved, give back, and use their passion for good.

More Than a Fundraiser

Trails 4 Tatas has become a tradition that reaches far beyond the off-road world. It is about hope, support, and community. It is about showing that when people come together, whether they drive Jeeps, Toyotas, or trucks, they can all make a real difference.

The event has also become a favorite for families. Kids get to experience the adventure, see what community giving looks like firsthand, and learn that having fun can also mean helping others. That is the heart of what Summit 4X4’s Family 4X4 Fun Philosophy is all about.

Looking Ahead

Each year, the Summit 4X4 team looks for new ways to grow and improve Trails 4 Tatas. Whether it is adding new trail options, expanding the raffle lineup, or increasing donations, the goal remains the same: to help more people and strengthen the local community through a shared love of off-roading.

Plans are already in motion for the 2026 event, and with the continued support of sponsors, volunteers, and participants, there is no limit to what can be achieved next year.

A Message from Summit 4X4

“We could not do this without the incredible people who show up year after year,” says Jesse Wasil, Owner of Summit 4X4. “From the Presidents of the Summit 4X4 Clubs (Victor and Laurie), Club Members, Many Community volunteers, and the donors to every driver who hits the trail, it all adds up to something special. This event proves that the off-road community is not just about rigs and trails, it is about people helping people.”

How to Get Involved

If you missed this year’s event but still want to contribute, it is not too late. Donations are still being accepted, and there are plenty of ways to help, from becoming a sponsor or donating an item for next year’s raffle to simply spreading the word.

As the engines cool and the dust settles, the impact of Trails 4 Tatas 2025 continues to ripple through the community. It is a powerful reminder that when people come together for a cause, incredible things happen. In Prescott, that means lives are changed one trail, one raffle ticket, and one donation at a time.
